Weatherford Police Department Newsblotter, October 20, 2011

On 10/15/2011 Weatherford Police Department Officers Watson and Corporal Goff were dispatched to respond to the 800 Block of Palo Pinto in reference to an assault. Buddy Parnell reported that his brother, Kyle Parnell, assaulted his common-law spouse by striking her in the face. Parnell attempted to stop him and was struck twice then pushed him onto a table. Parnell was arrested for 2 Counts of Assault Family Violence Causes Bodily Injury, and transported to the Parker County Jail.

On October 20, 2011, reporting officer, Tessa Vick, met with a complainant identified as Thomas Wayne Holman in the lobby of the Weatherford Police Department. Holman reported that sometime between October 19, 2011, at about 1100 hrs and October 20, 2011 at approximately 1100 hrs, unknown person(s) had obtained and fraudulently used his debit card information to obtain goods or services, without his consent. A report was made for Debit Card/ Credit Card Abuse.

On 10-20-11 at approx 1400 hrs I, Ofc Beniak was dispatched to 202 College Park Apt in reference to a domestic dispute. While en route I was advised that the actor had left the scene in a white Ford F-250. Upon my arrival I made contact with Kaylee Parum. Parum advised that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend prior to my arrival.

On Thursday 10-20-2011 at approximately 2236 hrs. I reporting officer (Tippie #42) and Ofc. Bramow were dispatched to the 500 block of Ridgeway Blvd. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Upon arriving on scene we made contact with the complainant / victim, a white male. We discovered while on scene that the other party to the disturbance had fled the scene before our arrival. An investigation was conducted over the disturbance and it was determined that the complainant did not wish to pursue any charges against the other party. Ofc. Shelley located the other party to the disturbance in the roadway in front of 241 Water Oak and he was identified as Jacob Tyler Park. A public intoxication investigation was conducted with Park and he was arrested for that offense.

On October 21, 2011 at approximately 0009 I was dispatched to 2124 Tin Top Rd in reference to a possible burglary of a vehicle in progress. While in route I was given vehicle descriptions of the suspect vehicle as well as the vehicle that was possibly being burglarized. Upon arrival I located the vehicles that matched the descriptions given. I made contact with a white female who advised that she had been in a verbal argument with a known male identified as Travis Linthicum. During the course of my investigation it was determined that Linthicum was intoxicated in a public place and was a danger to himself and others. Linthicum was then placed under arrest for Public Intoxication and was transported to Parker County Jail where he was booked in per procedure.

On Friday 10/21/11 at approx. 12:20am Sgt Laine (R/O) was in a parking lot at 2124 Tin Top Road when R/O heard a vehicles brakes skidding. R/O then observed a vehicle, a 2003 Kia Rio, green in color, come to a quick stop in the 2100 block of Tin Tip Road. The Kia had been traveling SB on Tin Top. R/O observed the vehicle back up in the roadway, stop, then turn west bound into the parking lot of a business then proceed to go behind the business at a high rate of speed. R/O then located the vehicle behind another business at 2132 Tin Top Road. R/O made contact with the sole occupant in the vehicle, who was later ID as Mariano Valdivia (w/m 19yoa). Valdivia presented to R/O as identification a TX Drivers License that did not belong to him but was later discovered to belong to his brother. Valdivia advised that he was on probation for possession of marijuana and that was why he lied to R/O about who he was. Valdivia was placed under arrest for Failure to Identify. Valdivia's brother, ID as Giovanni Valdivia, w/m, walked up to R/O while his brother was being taken into custody for the about stated offense. Giovanni Valdivia spoke with slurred speech, was unsteady while standing in place, and had a very staggered walk. He also had a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. He was placed under arrest for being in a public place while intoxicated.
