Weatherford Police Department Newsblotter, October 19, 2011

On Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at 1040hrs, I, Ofc S. Chalmers 61, was dispatched to 1305 N Main St #B in Weatherford, Texas, in reference to a burglary of a habitation. When I arrived on scene, I made contact with Mindy Parrish Thomas (41yoa wf). Thomas advised that sometime between 0900hrs on Monday, October 17, 2011, and 1241hrs on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, unknown person(s) entered her residence without her consent and took a Charter Cable TV box remote, valued at $50.00, and left the scene with the remote. A report was taken for Burglary of a Habitation and forwarded to CID for further investigation.

On Wednesday 10-19-2011 at approximately 2154 hours I reporting officer (Tippie #42) was dispatched to the Vine Street Apartment Complex located in the 1000 block of Vine St. in reference to an assault. Upon arriving on scene I made contact with the 23 year old w/m victim of the assault, and the actor in the assault, Philip Michael Miles a white male. It was determined during an investigation that Miles lives with his sister and the victim at the location some of the time and he assaulted the victim over an argument striking him with his fist multiple times. Miles was taken into custody for Assault causes bodily injury family violence. A report was made over the incident. End of narrative.

On October 20, 2011 at approximately 0140 I, Ofc. Bramow 78 located a suspicious vehicle just after clearing a prowler call in the 400 block of S. Bowie . I stopped the vehicle at 300 Ridgeway Blvd and identified the passengers. Upon gaining consent to search their persons a set of knuckles was located on Charles Anthony Franks, wm. Franks was placed under arrest for Prohibited Weapon - knuckles and was transported to Parker County Jail where he was booked in per procedure.
