I am Officer J. Welborn 58 and I am currently assigned to WISD as a school resource officer.On Wednesday 10/12/2011, I was on duty at Weatherford High School located at 2121 Bethel Rd. Weatherford Texas 76086 when I was contacted by Assistant Principle Tammy Addison who stated that a student came to her requesting help because she and her mother had been assaulted by a family member. A report was made for assault/domestic violence.
On 10-18-11 at approximately 0928 hours I, Officer J. Young #80, was dispatched to 1407 Vine St in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon my arrival I contacted the victim, Alma Sanchez, who told me that her green 1997 Honda Civic had been stolen by an unknown subject. A report for theft of a motor vehicle was made.
On 10.18.2011 at approx 1200hrs, reporting officer C Brown #74 was dispatched to the police department to meet with James Gray of Granbury TX who wanted to file a report in regards to a 13 year old child being assaulted by a known person. The offense took place in Weatherford. A report was taken.
On, 10-18-11, I, Officer Meza, was dispatched to the 200 blk of S Main in reference to an accident. I made contact with the driver who was involved in the accident. He stated that he was distracted by his cell phone which caused him to strike an electric pole. During the investigation it was found that the driver was driving with an ineligible Texas driver license and had a previous conviction for DWLI. The driver was arrested for DWLI with previous conviction.
On 10-19-2011 I (B Pool #69) was dispatched to a business in the 100 block of I-20 W in reference to an assault. I arrived on scene and made contact with the victim (Shawn Christopher Ferrell) who advises an unknown male subject stabbed him on the nose with a fork.
