On 10.17.2011 at approx 0800hrs while on routine patrol, I reporting officer C Brown #74 observed a white 1997 Ford Ranger speeding in a school zone in the 1100 block of Jameson St. I initiated a traffic stop on said vehicle at 1200 Jameson St where I identified Joseph Wayne Brittain, of Weatherford by his TX issued drivers license. A records check showed Brittain's DL to be invalid and that he had previous convictions for DWLI. Brittain was taken into custody without incident.
Monday 10-17-11 reporting officer (Hansen) met with a complainant who had his Samsung cell phone stolen from 710 Ft. Worth Hwy, Weatherford, Texas after he left it on the table.
On Monday October 17, 2011 at about 2:15pm, Sgt Rudolph while on patrol in the 1000 block of W Water drove upon a domestic disturbance in progress. During the investigation it was determined a white female, Chaley McMinn had assaulted a family member causing an injury. McMinn was arrested and transported to jail for assault family violence.
On 10-17-2011 at 1814 hrs, I , Officer T.Wainscott #79 with the Weatherford Police Department was dispatched to 801 Santa Fe Dr, Weatherford Police Department to a theft call. I made contact by public service with the victim Charlie Gogganf (W/M 52 years of age). Gogganf advised that he has been staying at a hotel in the 1100 blk of W.Park Ave and had two rings stolen form his room.Gogganf said that he has not given anyone permission to take the rings from his room. Gogganf does wish to pursue charges for the theft of the rings.
On 10-17-2011 at 1903 Hrs, I, Officer T.Wainscott with the Weatherford Police Department was dispatched to a Hit And Run call. Michelle Bonnette (W/F 21 years of age) said that she was driving in the 100blk of Court House Square when she had to stop for traffic. At that time, a white Ford F-250 pick up ran into the rear of her car. The white pick up drove away without giving his driver's information. Michelle wished to pursue charges for the offense.
