At approximately 15:25 hours this date, reporting officer J. Shelley - 63 was dispatched to call Ms. Melissa Clark regarding burglary of her vehicle. Clark reported that she had parked her vehicle a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee, white in color, in front of a business at 316 S. Main and went inside to make a purchase. Clark advised she was in the store only a few minutes and when she returned to her vehicle she discovered someone had entered her vehicle without her consent and took her purse. Clark advised the vehicle had been left unlocked. The purse was described as a leather purse, brown in color with a large buckle on the front. The purse included personal items such as make-up, her social security card and her bank checks. She advised the purse and contents were valued at approximately $100. Clark had tried to call the bank to put stop pay on the remaining checks but the bank was closed today for Columbus Day holiday. No other items were reported missing from the vehicle.
On 10/10/2011 Officer Watson #66 was dispatched to respond to the 500 block of N Walnut St. in reference to a burglary of a building. Upon arrival the victim / caller was identified as Timothy Hartley. Hartley stated that between 1700 hrs on 10/06/2011 and 1900 hrs on 10/10/2011 an unknown person (s) entered his storage shed in the back yard of his property and took his 5.5 HP Troy Built Push Mower without his permission. A report was generated.
On October 11, 2011 at approximately 0111hrs Corporal Goff with the Weatherford Police department was dispatched to 2407 S. Main St in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas in reference to a telephone harassment. Upon arrival Goff made contact with Betty Grippon who stated that at 0105hrs on the above date she received a phone call from a person that sounded like a young male. During that phone call the caller made an obscene comment that alarmed, annoyed, embarrassed and disrespected Grippon. Grippon did wish to file criminal charges on the person that made the phone call. A harassment report was made.
