Event Date:
Sat, 10/29/2011 - 7:00am

The fifth annual 10-4 for Hank will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Fort Worth Police & Firefighters Memorial at 2300 West 7th Street in Fort Worth. Three races will run through Trinity Park: the 10 Mile Race begins at 7:30 a.m. The four-mile race starts at 7:45 a.m. and the one-mile fun run starts at 8 a.m. Proceeds benefit Law Enforcement Officers of Tarrant County. The race is held in honor of Hank Nava, a Fort Worth Police Officer who was fatally injured on Nov. 29, 2005 while serving a parole violation warrant. He died two days later from his injuries. Hank’s widow, Teresa, formed H.A.N.K. (Helping Another Next of Kin) in honor of his memory and all other Tarrant County Police Officers killed in the line of duty.
