Weatherford Police Department Newsblotter, September 30, 2011

On 09-25-2011 at 2219 hrs I, Officer T.Wainscott with the Weatherford Police Department was dispatched to 1700 Remington Cir Dr in reference to a disturbance call involving a gun. Upon arrival it was determined that Trey Allison (W/M 22 years of age) was struck in the head with a shotgun. James Herdman (W/M 21 years of age) was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon and placed into the Parker County Jail.

A student at the Weatherford Ninth Grade Center was found to be in possession of what is believed to be synthetic marijuana. Pending lab test results an arrest will be made.

On 09/30/2011 at 1146 hours, Reporting Officer J. Holcomb # 76 was dispatched to contact a complainant in reference to a theft report. I made contact via telephone with the complainant, Brenda Carr. Carr advised at approximately 1030 hours on this date, a subject stole $ 247.85 worth of diesel from the business where she is employed, located at 2001 Santa Fe Dr. A report was made for Theft $ 50-500.

On 09-30-11 at approx 1200 hrs I, Ofc Beniak was dispatched to 801 Santa Fe in reference to a sexual assault. Upon my arrival I made contact with the complainant. I was advised that a sexual assault had occurred on approx June 15, 2011. A report was taken.

On 09-30-2011 at approximately 2233hrs Corporal Goff, Officer Bramow, and Officer Houghton with the Weatherford Police Department were dispatched to 911 S. Sloan St in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas in reference to a man with a gun. Upon arrival the man with the gun, identified as Gary Pope, was subdued and taken into custody. During the investigation it was found that Gary Pope had threatened a family member with serious bodily injury while pointing a Beretta handgun at the family member. Pope was arrested and taken to the Parker County jail where he was booked in for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A report was made.

On Friday 09-30-2011 at approximately 23:43 hours reporting officer (Taber 77) was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Anderson in reference to an assault. On arrival I met with the victim, a white female (15 years of age). The victim advised that on 09-30-2011 sometime between 21:30 and 22:00 hours a person known to her, a white female, age unknown, punched her in the face several times during an argument causing her pain. The assault occurred in the 200 block of Eureka St. A report was made for Assault Causes Bodily Injury.

On Saturday 10-01-2011 at approximately 0009 hours I reporting officer (Tippie #42) was dispatched to 205 N. Denton in reference to a Burglary of a Building. Upon arriving on scene, I made contact with the complainant, Amy Jean Lambert. Lambert advised that sometime between 1600 hrs. on 09-30-2011 and 0009 hrs. on 10-01-2011 an unknown person entered into her residence without permission and unlawfully appropriated an SKS firearm belonging to her and valued at approximately $500. A report was made for this incident.

On October 1, 2011 I, Ofc. T. Bramow 78 was dispatched to the 200 block of S Main in reference to a major accident involving one vehicle. Upon arrival I contacted the driver of the vehicle and identified her as Elizabeth Frias. Following a DWI investigation it was determined that she was intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle and placed under arrest. She was transported to Parker County Jail for DWI.
