William Boyd Burten was born Aug. 22, 1930, in Fort Worth. He loved to be outdoors but really loved fishing and keeping his lawn manicured. Bill also liked to travel with Audrey, whom he married on April 30, 1982, in Fort Worth. However, his favorite pastime was tinkering in his garage He made his career as an optician and retired after many dedicated years. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Witherspoon and husband, Morris; and his father, Willie J. Burten.

Survivors: Wife, Audrey Burten of Springtown; daughter, Renee Brzozowski and husband, Robert, of Springtown; grandchildren, Georgia Borden and husband, Jamey, of Keller, Abbie Paeno and husband, Joseph, of Dallas, Sophie Brzozowski and Jacob Brzozowski, both of Springtown; great-grandchildren, Connor, William, Audrey and Joseph; and a host of loving family and friends.
