Lydia was preceded in death by her husband Herman Mason, son Jerry Glen Mason and son-in-law Butch Gilbert.

Survivors include her two daughters Pat Gilbert and Dorothy Shelnutt both of Punkin Center; three sons, Donald (Pete) Mason and wife Sandra of Aledo, TX; Rickey Mason and wife Traye of Holliday, TX; and Mickey Mason of Irving, TX; sister Betty Keran of Garden Valley, CA; 13 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, and 18 Great Great Grandchildren and one on the way.
