Weatherford ISD Superintendent Dr. Deborah Cron told staff members at Tuesday's Convocation that they were going to have to do more with less this school year because of a $3.2 million reduction in state funding (and an additional $1.2 million for 2012-13).

Dr. Cron said the theme of Tuesday's event was "hope," and she said to never give up.

Other items that were celebrated included Crockett Elementary and Martin Elementary for earning "Exemplary" ratings by the Texas Education Agency; and "Recognized" ratings for Austin Elementary, Curtis Elementary, Ikard Elementary, Seguin Elementary, and Wright Elementary.
