WP Mayor wants new mayor pro-tem

May 17, 2010 by Dominic Genetti

Neverdouski and Carlisle invited to speak at meeting

A new mayor pro-tem will be elected tonight by the Willow Park City Council at their regular meeting. The second-in-command for the city is chosen by the city council.

Mayor Ken Hawkins said he wants "somebody who has a future with the city." Currently veteran councilman Hale Alderman serves as mayor pro-tem. Hawkins called him "a very valuable asset" to the council.

Amongst discussions on improvements to Ranch House Road, budget reviews and ordinances, Cindy Neverdouski and David Carlisle, who lost their races to the Willow Park City Council a week and a half ago, have been invited to speak to the council by Hawkins and address their proposed municipal goals.

Tonight's meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Willow Park City Hall.
