On Saturday, August 20, 2011 I, Ofc. D. Feare #59, was dispatched to 202 E Church St., Weatherford, Parker County, Texas in reference to a window of a van that had been broken. When I arrived I made contact with the complainant, Latosha Nacoe Yancey (w/f 25yoa), who is resident there and the van owner. Yancey showed me the van, which is a green 2003 Kia Sedona. She said this was done by an unknown person(s) sometime between the approximate times of 22:00 last night and 11:20 this morning. It was estimated it would cost $500 to replace with window. A criminal mischief report was made for this incident.
On Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 1351hrs, I, Ofc S. Chalmers 61, was dispatched to a south side department store located at 148 E Interstate 20 in Weatherford, Texas, in reference to a shoplifter in custody for Theft <$50.00. When I arrived on scene, I made contact with the witness who advised that she observed Martha Michelle Davis (wf 17yoa) select and conceal merchandise valued at $29.00, and the observed Davis leave the store without paying for the concealed merchandise. Davis was detained and all merchandise was recovered and returned to the store. Davis was issued a citation for Class C Misdemeanor Theft < $50.00 and released.
On Saturday, 08/20/2011, at approximately 2200 hours, Reporting Officer J. Holcomb # 76 was radio dispatched to a business located at 220 W. I-20 in reference to an assault. On arrival, I met with the victim, one Swank, Daniel (w/m 27yoa). Swank was assaulted while working in the parking lot by an unknown male subject. The assault caused him bodily injury to his face, torso and leg. The actor left the scene prior to my arrival. No further information to report at this time.
On Saturday 08/20/11 at approx. 10:54pm Officer Watson was dispatched to 1832 S. Main Street in reference to gas drive off. The complainant ID as Elizabeth Hall (w/f 23yoa) advised that two unknown white females in a white van left the business without paying for $50.01 in fuel. Hall was able to get a license plate on the suspect vehicle which returned to a 2005 Dodge Van that was registered to a subject later ID as Whitney N. Waddle (w/f 31yoa) who resides a short distance outside the city limits. Officer Watson and Sgt. Laine (R/O) went to the residence of Waddle and located the 2005 Dodge Van that was involved in the fuel theft. Officers spoke with Waddle about the incident that occurred at 1832 S. Main Street and after a short investigation Waddle was placed under arrest for Theft over $50/ Under $500. Waddle also had an outstanding warrant by the City of Weatherford for DWLI. Waddle was transported to the PC Jail for the Theft and the outstanding warrant.
