Shanna was born August 5, 1975 to Jobie Eugene and Paula Stricklan Monroe in Jackson, Mississippi. She graduated from Springtown High School in 1994.

Survivors: husband, John Ray Rogers; mother, Paula Stricklan of LA.; father Eugene Monroe of MS.; sons, Richard Roger of Jackson, MS. and Barrett Monroe of Graford; sisters, Sherry and Shella Monroe.
