Weatherford Police Department News Blotter August 5, 2011

On Thursday 08/04/2011 at approximately 18:18 hrs. Reporting officer ( J. Hanna # 31) was dispatched to the 2000 block of Mason Pond in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. On arrival I met with the complainant,Richard Crosby (w/m 62yoa). Richard advised that sometime between 07:20 hrs. to 17:30 hrs. On 08/04/2011an unknown person/s kicked in his front door, entered his home and stole two jewelry boxes. A report was made for Burglary of a Habitation.

On 08/04/2011 at about 1946 hours, Sergeant Whitford (I) was dispatched to a burglary of a motor vehicle call at 138 I20 East, Weatherford, Texas. Upon arrival I was met by Alex Smith (w/m 19yoa) who stated sometime between 1200 hours and 1900 hours, this date, unknown suspect(s) broke out the rear passenger door window of his vehicle and removed aTom Tom GPS valued at $300 and an IPod valued at $250, without his effective consent. A burglary of a motor vehicle report was made.

Warrant Service for Eastland County - Kristie Mayhall (w/f 40yoa) was arrested for outstanding warrants.

On Friday, 08-04-2011 at approximately 2349 hours, I, Officer Matt B. Windham #67 was dispatched to 800 South Sloan Street, in reference to minor accident. Upon arrival, I met with the driver, who was identified via a Texas driver's license which read Andrew Nelson Riedel (w/m 26yoa). Mr. Riedel appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance. Mr. Riedel was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he failed. Mr. Riedel was placed into custody for the offense of Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense. Mr. Riedel was observed operating a motor vehicle in a public place while intoxicated. An accident and an offense report were created for the offense.

On Friday, 08-05-11, Officer J. Welborn and I (Officer Richard) were dispatched to 1014 N Main St in reference to three suspicious persons. On arrival, Officer Welborn recognized two or the three subjects from a previous call at one of the city parks. The third subject was identified as Nathan Lee Guerrero (w/m 18yoa). Guerrero was checked through WPD dispatch for warrants. WPD dispatched confirmed Guerrero had a WPD outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Guerrero was arrested for said warrant and transported to PCSO jail where he was released to jail staff for booking.No further Information.
