Weatherford Police Department Crime of the Week, August 1, 2011

August 2, 2011 by Anonymous

On Monday, 07/25/2011, just before midnight, an unidentified male broke the front door glass of the AMT FoodMart located at 802 Palo Pinto St, however, did not enter the store at that time. A few hours later (early Tuesday morning, 07/26/2011), an unidentified male broke a second glass door to the store, made entry and stole cartons of cigarettes.

Investigators were able to pull up video of the burglary Tuesday morning and found what they believe to be one or possibly two suspects involved. Attached are photographs of the burglary.

“Looking at the video of the burglary, the suspect is wearing very distinct clothing and satchel,” stated Detective Karl Westendorf assigned to investigate the case, “We hope that someone will recognize the suspect from the pictures and contact the police department with that information.”

The Weatherford Police Department is encouraging anyone with information on this crime or who may have seen something suspicious in this area during this time period to call the Weatherford Police Department at 817-598-4300 or Parker County Crime Stoppers at (817) 599-5555 or 1-800-942-STOP.
