Weatherford Police Department News Blotter August 2, 2011

On August 1, 2011 I, Ofc. T. Bramow 78 was dispatched to 224 Santa Fe Dr in reference to a criminal mischief that had occurred. Upon arrival I made contact with Dr Gregory Tankersley (wm 54 yoa) who advised me that upon his arrival this morning he noticed that his roof had been damaged. He did not notice any damage to anything else on the inside or outside of the building. He later noticed that the attic entrance door was ajar and was not like this before. I then cleared the attic and was able to locate foot prints on the floor and areas where the insulation had been cleaned off air condition units. Tankersley advised me that he did want to prosecute. A report for burglary of a building was taken.

On Monday, August 1, 2011, at 0953hrs, I, Ofc S. Chalmers 61, was dispatched to the Outback building located at the Weatherford High School at 2121 Bethel Rd in Weatherford, Texas, in reference to a burglary of a building. When I arrived on scene, I made contact with the reporting party who advised that sometime between June 8, 2011, at 1200hrs, and August 1, 2011, at 0936hrs, unknown person(s) entered the building and took a laptop computer, valued at $750, and a digital camcorder, valued at $342, and removed them from the building without the consent of the Weatherford Independent School District. A report was taken for Burglary of a Building.Nothing further at this time.

On this date at approximately 10:32 hours, Officer Shelley was dispatched to 801 Santa Fe. to meet with Mr. Douglas White (w/m 78yoa) of 2013 Clear Creek Dr. regarding identity theft. Mr. White reported that unkown person(s) had obtained his debit card information and had made purchases without his permission in San Francisco, CA and surrounding area totalling $264.49.

On Monday, August 1, 2011, at 1109hrs, I, Ofc S. Chalmers 61, was dispatched to 1658 Holland Lake Dr in Weatherford, Texas, in reference to a burglary of a motorvehicle.When I arrived on scene, I made contact with the victim, Eli Hubbard (wm 18yoa). Hubbard advised that sometime between 2200hrs on July 31, 2011, and 0900hrs on August 1, 2011, unknown person(s) entered his 2000, black, Ford pickup without his effective consent and took items valued at $470. There were no signs of forced entry and the vehicle was not processed due to Hubbard cleaning the vehicle prior to contacting the Weatherford Police Department. A report was taken for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.There is no suspect information at this time.Nothing further at this time.

On 08-01-2011 at approx 1533 hrs. I was dispatched to 109 West Couts Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, I met with the complainant, Jerry Henson (w/m 47 yoa), who advised that he had a chainsaw taken from the bed of his truck while it was parked in the 700 Block of Palo Pinto Street. He advised that he did not give anyone consent to take his property and he did wish to file charges as they actor(s) did unlawfully appropriate the property of another with the intent to deprive the owner of the property and without the owner's effective consent. A theft report was taken.

On Monday, 08/01/2011 at approximately 1958 hours, Reporting Officer J. Holcomb # 76 was radio dispatched to two residences, located at 2230 Creek Side Dr. and 2410 Timber Cove Dr., in reference to a burglary. On arrival, I met with the two victims, identified as Phelps,Kenneth (w/m 42yoa) and Rovnyak, Marci (w/f 46yoa). Both Phelps and Rovnyak stated they had a gas can stolen out of their open garage sometime between 0930 and 1830 hours on this date. A report was made for Burglary of a Habitation for each incident.

On Monday, 08/01/2011 at approximately 1958 hours, Reporting Officer J. A report was made for Burglary of a Habitation for each incident.
