A long time resident of Parker County, Judy was an avid horsewoman and writer of poems that were published. Horses, family, and dairy goats were the highlights of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruby Melton.
Survivors: husband, Gary Burris of Millsap; son, Gary J. Burris, Jr.; daughters Heidi Valley of Coleman; and Melissa Ford and husband, John of KY; brothers, Jimmy Zakawoski of KY, and David Hyatt of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren; and numerous friends and acquaintances.
