“Trading Spaces” star designer Christi Proctor will speak on design at the Parker County “Bag Lady Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford.
The event benefits the senior center and Meals on Wheels.
Proctor brings a Texas-size imagination and a winning personality. Her inspiration comes from the charm of the varied Texas cultures, the old west, and Europe. The result is an eclectic mix she likes to call "rustic elegance." Proctor’s own home is a masterful mixture of varied textures, including natural woods, stone and found objects offset by antique china and opulent fabrics. She is designing and donating a handcrafted bag for this event.
Lunch will be served by Whistle Hill Cafe. A limited number of tickets are available for $25 by calling the Senior Center at 817-596-4640 ext 22. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Parker County Committee On Aging is requesting donations of new or gently used designer, vintage, celebrity owned, or handcrafted handbags for this event.
Donations are tax deductible and can be made at either Ford Joslin, 203 West Owens Street in Weatherford (817-594-9933) or the Parker County Committee On Aging, 1225 Holland Lake Drive in Weatherford.
