The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles won their 2008 homecoming game against Dallas Academy in style Friday night in Aledo, defeating the Bulldogs 51-26.

In the beginning the game looked like it would be more of a struggle, as the Bulldogs took the opening possession straight in for a touchdown. But the Eagles responded with a long touchdown pass from senior quarterback Michael Sapp to senior receiver Kyle Richter.

The Bulldogs came right back and scored, but again the Eagles responded, this time with a score by junior Jonathan Klingenburg. The Eagles were having difficulty scoring extra points, and trailed after the two-touchdown exchange 14-12.

The Eagle defense held on the Bulldogs' third possession, and the offense claimed the lead for the first time in the game on a 20-yard touchdown run by Sapp, 18-14.

The Bulldogs responded with another touchdown on their next possession, but the 20 points they showed on the scoreboard at the end of the first quarter would remain until the fourth. By then the Eagles were up 44-20.
