The following offenses were observed or reported to the Weatherford Police Department between Thursday 07-07-11 and Friday 07-08-11.

Burglary of a Vehicle
07-07-11, 500 Harcourt St, a complainant reported that 4:30pm a known male suspect entered into her vehicle without permission and stole a prescription medication.

07-07-11, 900 Charles St, a complainant reported that on 06-21-11 between 6pm and 9pm unknown suspect(s) had entered into her vehicle without permission and stole her purse. The complainant further reported that the following day the unknown suspect(s) had used her credit card without permission at several area businesses.

Burglary of a Habitation:
1100 E. Lake Dr, 07-06-11, a complainant reported that on 07-06-11 between 9am and 6pm unknown suspect(s) had entered into a residence without permission and stole a laptop computer.

Evading Arrest:
07-07-11, 1800 N. Main St, at approx 6:40pm an officer attempted to stop a vehicle after verifying the driver of the vehicle had an active warrant for his arrest. The suspect failed to yield to the Officer and began using the vehicle to flee from the Officer. During his attempt to elude the officer the suspect caused an accident with an uninvolved vehicle, at which time the suspect then fled the scene on foot. Assisting Officers detained the suspect a short distance from the accident scene. The suspect was arrested and charged with the original warrant, Evading Arrest and Failure to Stop and Render Aid.

Aggravated Assault:
07-07-11, 1900 Bethel Rd, a complainant reported that at approx 10:20pm during a disturbance and confrontation on the roadway he and his passengers was assaulted when the known male driver of the other vehicle swerved at his vehicle, intentionally hitting his vehicle and causing his vehicle to leave the roadway . Minor injuries were reported by the victim.
