Joyce was born in Hillsboro to Jim and Opal Malone. She was married to Hank Guilliams for 61 years when he preceded her in death. She retired from Vought Aeronautics after working there for 25 years. Joyce was a member of Christway Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Opal Malone; brother, Jimmy Malone; husband, Hank Guilliams; son- in-law, Jerry Wayne Tillman. Survivors: son, Glenn Guilliams; daughter, Phyllis Tillman; daughter-in-law, Janie Guilliams; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, and 8 great- grandchildren.
