Weatherford Police Department Swears In Its Newest Officer!

On Thursday, 06/16/2011, the Weatherford Police Department welcomed its newest member to the department – Officer Todd Wainscott. He was issued the “Oath of Office” this morning (06/16/2011) at City Hall by Judge Tim Galbreaith and officially sworn in. Officer Wainscott grew up in Stephenville, Texas and started his law enforcement career in Strawn, Texas in 1994. Officer Wainscott is no stranger to Weatherford, he was an officer for the Weatherford Police Department once before from 2002 until 2004 when he left to move to Wyoming. He has moved back and we are excited that he has returned to the department!

Even though he has been employed with the Weatherford Police Department before, Officer Wainscott will go through several weeks of intense training with an assigned Field Training Officer before being released on the street as a Patrol Officer.

Attached are pictures of the Oath of Office ceremony.
