GilbertTroy Wayne Gilbert, 54, loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 in Weatherford.
Gilbert was born August 21, 1953 in Fort Worth, the son of J.A. and Billie Davis Gilbert. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Weatherford, where he especially enjoyed his Sunday School ministry with the children.
Gilbert also enjoyed his job as a truck driving instructor, where he was able to help and serve others. As a very loving and giving person, he will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends and relatives he left behind.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kathy Gilbert; children, Amanda Hazard and husband, Chris; Laura Sullivan and husband, Randy; Jimmy Morland, Kristi Morland and Matthew Morland; grandchildren, Landen, Madison, Lauren, Bethanie, Delaney, Elliott and Bailey; mother, Billie Gilbert; brothers, Roy Gilbert and wife, Teresa and Odell Gilbert and wife, Cammie; sister, Helen Akin and husband, Charles.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Weatherford.
