First 100 Patrons Swim FREE at Cherry Park Pool
First Financial Bank Sponsors a Free Swim Friday, June 10
On Friday, June 10 First Financial Bank will partner with the Parker County Hospital District, QXFM and the City of Weatherford to sponsor a FREE swim for patrons of the Cherry Park Pool.
First Financial is graciously covering the fee to enter the Cherry Park Pool for the first 100 guests. In addition, the Parker County Hospital District (PCHD) will also supply the first 100 guests with FREE items encouraging safety in the sun. In an attempt to educate as many community members as possible the local radio station, 89.5 QXFM, will broadcast live from the Cherry Park Pool with information preventing skin cancer, sun burns, dehydration, sun exposure and such.
The summer fun and safety awareness event was held for the first time last summer and, due to the success of the event, it was a goal of the partners to make it an annual affair. “Pool patrons were very receptive, some very surprised and excited, and all were extremely grateful to everyone involved,” stated City of Weatherford Community Relations Manager Danielle Felts. “It was the perfect venue for the partners to come together and reiterate the dangers, and sometimes serious repercussions, of excessive sun exposure.”
Dave Cowley, Vice President of Marketing for First Financial Bank is excited about the event returning as well, “At First Financial we are dedicated giving back to our community, this particular event allows us to give on so many levels it truly is very rewarding for everyone involved. Family fun, education, prevention and local resources all in one, what more could you ask for?”
Be one of the first 100 guests of the Cherry Park Pool on Friday, June 10 and receive FREE ENTRY, a GOODY BAG, and ENTER TO WIN FIVE (5) ONE-DAY PASSES to the pool—the pool will open at 12:30 p.m. and close at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10.
