Barbara Anne Warriner
Barbara was born November 2, 1947, in East Cleveland, Ohio to Norman and Mary Shelton.
In 1967, she earned an associate's degree in nursing from Cuyahoga Community College and worked as a licensed registered nurse for the Veterans Administration in Ohio. Additionally, she was a small-business owner, running an animal grooming business in North Royalton, Ohio, and held a Realtor's license. Her greatest profession was that of a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and friend.
Barbara married Richard Warriner on June 24, 1967. Together they raised three children. They moved to Aledo in 1998 and were among the early members of Holy Redeemer Church. Barbara enjoyed sewing and crocheting, made Baptismal Garments for those babies being welcomed into the church, and sang beautifully in the choir. She also made heart pillows providing comfort to breast cancer survivors.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Thomas E. Shelton.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Richard; children, Lisa Marie Gratz (Harvey), their children, Quinn, Sydney and Mitchell, William E. Warriner (Kimberly Stone), Melissa Rios (Nelson), and their children, Anna Marie and Nicholas; and extended family members.
