Vandals Strike the Hike and Bike Trail

The Parker County Crime Stoppers has issued the following Crime of the Week and we need your help in solving this crime.

On Wednesday, 06/01/2011, while on routine patrol of the Town Creek Hike and Bike Trails, Weatherford Police Officers observed several areas along the trail to have been spray painted as well as some railroad property in the area.

Lt. Ronnie Villarreal located several locations where unknown suspect(s) spray painted what appeared to be some type of symbols on the walls of several small culverts along the trails. The suspect(s) also spray painted small, stenciled black rats with “Eat Meat” printed underneath along the yellow lines of the trail. Several railroad signs and a small storage building next to the tracks were spray painted with “JCO” with a small “2”at the top right corner of the “C”.

The Weatherford Police Department encourages anyone who may have information on this crime or who may have seen something suspicious in the area prior to the officer’s discovery, to contact the police department.

Up to a $1,000 reward will be paid for this information and you may remain anonymous.
