Inez ‘Billye’ Woodle

Inez “Billye” Woodle, 92, died on Wednesday, April 23, 2008.
Woodle was born on December 29, 1915, in Lovington, N.M., to Lee and Helen Smith Newman. She had lived in the Weatherford area for 70 years and was was the manager of The Little Dairy Queen for 15 years. She also loved to quilt and enjoyed crafts and sewing.
“Nanny” was a loving, caring, giving, mother, grandmother and friend. She never met a stranger and a stranger never forgot meeting her.
She is survived by sons, Ted Woodle and wife, Joanne, of Fort Worth, Eddie Gene Woodle and wife, Diana, and Jim Woodle and wife, Shirley, both of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; daughters, Jackie Nickodam and husband, Joe, of Burleson, and Paula Darling and husband, Art, of Lake Whitney; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Woodle, in November, 1959; sister, Peggy Roberts, in August, 2007; and brother, W.C. “Bunk” Newman, in August, 2007.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, in White’s Chapel of Memories with interment in East Greenwood Cemetery.
