Louie Aston “Dozer Man” Raines Jr., 77, of Springtown, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008, in a Fort Worth hospital.

Raines was born on October 21, 1930 in Sunset, the son of the late Louie A. and Ella Raines. A longtime resident of Parker and Wise counties, he was a cattleman, fisherman and well-respected friend to all. For many years, he was the owner of the Kountry Diner in Poolville.
Louie is survived by his son, Louie A. Raines and wife, Mary, of Callisburg; daughter, Darenda Derlick and husband, Steve, of Bridgeport; and three grandchildren.
Also surviving is his special friend, Marjorie Bowen and family: Mike and Kathy Williams of Poolville, Jackie and Timmy Tamplen of Springtown, Mike Jr. of Poolville, Dave and Chasity Taylor and Miranda and Colton Morgan, all of Fort Worth; Brooke and Justin Tamplen of Springtown; as well as a host of loving friends and many acquaintances.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in the Boonsville Cemetery.
