BE IT KNOWN, the HONORABLE COMMISSIONERS COURT of PARKER COUNTY, TEXAS, will convene in a REGULAR MEETING at 9:00 A.M. on MONDAY the 28th day of APRIL 2008 in the COMMISSIONER COURTROOM on the FIRST FLOOR of the COURTHOUSE, ONE COURTHOUSE SQUARE, WEATHERFORD, TEXAS,

TO CONSIDER, DISCUSS AND/OR ACT UPON THE FOLLOWING AGENDA ITEMS:

1. ROUTINE BUSINESS: (a.) Payment of routine bills as presented by the auditor; (b). certification of revenues as presented by the auditor; (c.) line item budget amendments as presented by the auditor; (d.) prior approval/disapproval of purchases; (e.) approval of payroll, payments for insurance, employee health clinic, retirement; (f.) accept or reject bids; (g.) authorization to advertise bids for purchases as listed; (h.) accept or release pledged securities; (i.) Report from County Treasurer on balances of all funds “1 thru 999”.

3. Request Authorization:
a. Establish a percentage of an appraised value as a minimum amount needed, in order to
approve the sale on a foreclosed county property. (Commissioner Webster)
b. Permission for United Way of Parker County to present information pertaining
to conducting a United Way campaign for county employees. (Judge Riley)
c. To pay for equipment and lettering for new law enforcement vehicles.

d. Cell Phone Allowance for 911Coordinator. (Commissioner Brinkley)
e. To purchase air packs and fire extinguishers from Beck Industries, for the County Jail.

g. Of application by Southwestern Gas Pipeline, Inc. to bore under and lay a pipeline in the following County Road Right-of-Way in Precinct # 2:

4. Declare:
a. Old bridge material, signs, posts and any miscellaneous unusable metal as salvage and authorize Pct # 3 to sell items. (Commissioner Roth)
b. County property as surplus and authorize Purchasing Agent to include in the next on-line auction scheduled for May 12th-30th ,2008. Final report on auction held March 10th -28th , 2008. (Deena Nichols/Judge Riley)

5. Deny Payment:
a. To AT&T on bill for damages at 229 Walden Road, located in Pct #3, in the amount of $541.17. (Commissioner Roth)

6. Donation:
a. Allocation and the intent of the donation made by Devon Energy on August 27, 2007 in the amount of $50,000.00 to Parker County. (Commissioner Roth)
b. Accept donation of obsolete computers from Agriculture Extension Service to be included in county surplus. (Deena Nichols/Judge Riley)

7. Transfer:
a. $50,000.00 from current Fund 50 budget to precincts that experienced flood damage in the summer of 2007. (Commissioner Roth)

8. Accept into minutes:
a. Signed Agreement with TxDOT on change of bridges. (Commissioner Roth)
b. Executed Election Contracts from the following entities: (John Forrest/Judge Riley)
1. City of Aledo and Aledo ISD
2. City of Willow Park
3. City of Springtown and Springtown ISD
c. Certification of the Auditors appointment. (Judge Riley)

9. Notification :
a. From TxDOT regarding county road mileage certification deadline of May 1, 2008.

b. Precinct # 2 will push fence row to improve visibility and drainage at the following location:
1. Approximately 1,400 feet on the North side of Smith Trail and 1,500 feet
on East side of Stafford Road along the 1100 Block of Smith Trail.

10. Employee insurance benefits and take any action court deems necessary. (Commissioner Choate)

11. Process for employment of Veterans Service officer. (Judge Riley)

12. Review and execute: (John Forrest/Judge Riley)
a. Offender Transportation Contract and take any action the court deems necessary.
b. Lease for Crown Castle and take any action the court deems necessary.

13. EXECUTIVE SESSION: In accordance with Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, The Parker County Commissioners Court will meet in CLOSED SESSION to discuss litigation to wit: Parker County vs. Mallie Kay Rohus and Pamela J. Hardy and take any action court deems necessary. At the conclusion of the closed session the Commissioners Court will reconvene in OPEN SESSION to make any decisions or take any action considered appropriate regarding said matter discussed in closed session.
