Aledo City Council Agenda March 27, 2008CITY OF ALEDO, TEXAS Thursday, March 27, 2008 CALL TO ORDER INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE PRESENTATIONS Proclamation to declare the time period of April 15 – May 14, 2008 as the Big Read in the City of Aledo, Texas. CONSENT AGENDA All of the following items on the consent agenda are considered to be self-explanatory by the Council and will be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member so requests. Approval of the consent agenda authorizes the City Administrator to implement each item in accordance with the staff recommendation. a. Regular City Council Minutes of February 28, 2008. b. Public hearing on a Preliminary Plat and Final Plat for Aledo Town Village Block 1, Lots 1 & 2 on a .513 acre tract, being located at LR Fawks Survey, Abstract 483, and a portion of the Original Town of Aledo, Block 1, Lots 1 & 2, located in the City of Aledo, Parker County, Texas. PLANNING AND ZONING RECOMMENDATIONS 2. Consideration and action on a Preliminary Plat and Final Plat for Aledo Town Village Block 1, Lots 1 & 2 on a .513 acre tract, being located at LR Fawks Survey, Abstract 483, and a portion of the Original Town of Aledo, Block 1, Lots 1 & 2, located in the City of Aledo, Parker County, Texas. Consideration of request by Gay Larson of the Parker County Master Gardners Association to hold a seminar on roses at the Neil Collins Memorial Rose Garden on Sunday, May 11, 2008. 5. Consideration and action regarding a contract with Freese and Nichols for 2008 street design improvements. 6. Consideration and action on fund application and resolution for the Texas Water Development Board. 7. Consideration and action on acceptance of resignation of Jennifer Simko Hamilton as the City Prosecutor. 8. Consideration and action on appointment of Phil Trew as the City Prosecutor. 9. Consideration and action pursuant to Ordinance No. 02-19 on reappointment of Municipal Court Judge for a term of two years beginning January 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2009. 10. Consideration and action regarding temporary staffing and the length of service. 11. Consideration and action on sanitary sewer overflow agreement with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). 12. Consideration and action on approval of Ordinance C-2008-03 establishing the Downtown Business District Committee. 13. Consideration and action regarding contract amendment with Aledo Broadband for lease of tower. 14. Consideration and action on recommendation for website and logo development. 15. Discussion concerning properties not included on the Parker County Appraisal District tax roll for City property tax. 16. Consideration and action on speed zone study. BOARD AND COMMISSIONS 17.
