Parker County Commissioners Court Agenda March 10, 2008PARKER COUNTY REGULAR AGENDA BE IT KNOWN, the HONORABLE COMMISSIONERS COURT of PARKER COUNTY, TEXAS, will convene in a REGULAR MEETING at 9:00 A.M. on MONDAY the 10th day of MARCH 2008 in the COMMISSIONER COURTROOM on the FIRST FLOOR of the COURTHOUSE, ONE COURTHOUSE SQUARE, WEATHERFORD, TEXAS, TO CONSIDER, DISCUSS AND/OR ACT UPON THE FOLLOWING AGENDA ITEMS: 1. ROUTINE BUSINESS: (a.) Payment of routine bills as presented by the auditor; (b). certification of revenues as presented by the auditor; (c.) line item budget amendments as presented by the auditor; (d.) prior approval/disapproval of purchases; (e.) approval of payroll; (f.) accept or reject bids; (g.) authorization to advertise bids for purchases as listed; (h.) accept or release pledged securities; (i.) Report from County Treasurer on balances of all funds “1 thru 999”. g. Authorization to go out for bids on: (Deena Nichols/Judge Riley) 2. Update on and take any action the Court deems necessary: 3. Notification that Precinct # 2 will push fence row to improve visibility and drainage at the following location: 4. Deny payment to AT&T on bill for 478 Gail Drive located in Precinct #4, in the amount of $295.69. 5. Approval of: b. Surety Bond for Precinct #2 Deputy Constable Mike Lindhorst. (Lowell Moss/Judge Riley) 6. Waive job posting: 7. Authorize County Judge to sign resolutions and tax resale deeds for the following: 8. Hudson Oaks local option election. (Robert Parten/Judge Riley) 9. Proclamation declaring March as Red Cross Month in Parker County. (Judge Riley) 10. Receipt of notification from ONEOK of plans to construct a natural gas pipeline, known as the Arbuckle Pipeline, through portions of Parker County running from west of Springtown to east and south of Aledo. 11. Report from Terry Hughes with City of Weatherford regarding new traffic patters. (Judge Riley) 12. Accept into the minutes: 13. Review and execute the following: (John Forrest/Judge Riley) 14. Request to raise the dollar limit for purchases made under a contract by Parker County above which competitive bidding or competitive procedures must be followed to $25,000.00 in accordance with Local Government Code Section 262.023 and to revise the Parker County Fixed Asset Policy and Procedure Manual, pg. 11 to reflect the $25,000.00 limit. EXECUTIVE SESSION: In accordance with Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, The Parker County Commissioners Court will meet in CLOSED SESSION to discuss litigation to wit: Second District of Texas Court of Appeals No:02-08-00063-CV. At the conclusion of the closed session the Commissioners Court will reconvene in OPEN SESSION to make any decisions or take any action considered appropriate regarding said matter discussed in closed session. EXECUTIVE SESSION: In accordance with Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code, the Parker ROUTINE BUSINESS (j.) approval of minutes; (k.) personnel changes; (l..) unemployment appeal claims; Adjournment. NOTE: Commissioners Court may choose to convene into Executive Session items out of agenda sequence depending upon availability of counsel. |
