Aledo teams finish second at district meet
The Aledo swim team will advance several members to the regional swim meet on Feb. 8 at the Wilkerson-Greines complex in Fort Worth on the strength of their performances at the district meet Friday, Jan. 25 at The Colony.

Aledo teams took second place overall in boys, girls, and combined totals at the district meet.

The Colony, swimming in its own turf, so to speak, took all first place team honors.

Individually, however, Aledo swimmers were at the top of the pack in both boys and girls events.

David Suttmiller (16) tied for first place in overall points for boys with one swimmer from Keller Fossil Ridge and two swimmers from The Colony. Each of the four swimmers accumulated 18 points.

For the girls, Guro Sorby (17) of Aledo tied for first in points with Kelley Hannah of The Colony. Both also had 18 points.
