Food Handlers Food Safety Class

Texas AgriLife Extension will conduct an accredited Food Handlers Food Safety Class “Food Safety: It’s In Your Hands” from 4-6 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Parker County Agricultural Services Center, 604 North Main Street in Weatherford.

This two-hour course is accredited by Texas Department of Health and Human Services and highly recommended for all food service employees to help promote the service of safe food. The course is a basic overview of food safety practices that are necessary to ensure that safe food is served at your establishment. Practices discussed include good personal hygiene, cross contamination, and time and temperature abuse.

At the end of the class and exam, participants will receive a food handlers completion certificate that is good throughout Texas for two years.
