Rogers-Blair engagementMr. and Mrs. Truitt J. Rogers of Aledo announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Elizabeth Rogers, to Jack Christopher Blair, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack F. Blair of Willow Park.
The bride-to-be graduated from Aledo High School in 2000, then received her B.A. in University Studies from Middle Tennessee State University. Now, she is pursuing her master’s degree of science in counseling psychology at Tarleton State University in Stephenville.
Blair also graduated from Aledo High School in 1997, then received his A.A. from Weatherford College and his B.B.A. from Texas Christian University, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. At present, he is pursuing his master’s degree in public administration at the University of Texas at Arlington in the School of Urban and Public Affairs. He will graduate with an MPA in August 2008.
The bride-elect is granddaughter of Barbara and JB Spears of Benbrook, and Louise and Kenneth R. Rogers, also of Benbrook. Blair is the grandson of Ruby Driver and the late Travis A. Brooks of Graham, and Sarah Elizabeth and Jacob F. Blair Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.
The couple will be married on August 16, 2008, at Historic St. Luke’s Church in Smithfield, Va. They have chosen this destination because the groom’s ancestors emigrated from England to colonial Virginia in 1658, to provide the “finish” work inside the church.
