Varsity softball team ends season with perfect District 4-5A record, faces Odessa in bi-district playoff Friday in Snyder

Weatherford's varsity softball team ended its regular season with a perfect 14-0 record in District 4-5A following Friday's 15-0 win over Arlington Sam Houston in just three innings. The group will now play Odessa High on April 29 in a one-game playoff at Cates Field in Snyder beginning at 8 p.m.

Friday's game against Sam Houston also marked the final regular-season appearances for eight WHS seniors, including pitcher Jordan Wallace who finished with 298 strikeouts.

Also, the Lady Roos had nine hits against Sam Houston.
