WEATHERFORD, TX (April 20, 2011) --- Weatherford Regional Medical Center is working collaboratively with the County of Palo Pinto and several emergency relief organizations to provide aid for residents who have lost their homes and firefighters who continue to battle the nearby wildfires. Weatherford Regional continues to donate various medical and emergency supplies to assist families who have lost their homes and service personnel who are still battling the flames. Additionally, Weatherford Regional is collecting items on the campus of the hospital and at two clinic locations to be distributed to those in need:

“This is our way of helping to provide for the immediate needs of those displaced and for the servicemen and women who are still fighting the blaze” said Cory Countryman, CEO of Weatherford Regional Medical Center. “It is our desire to serve the community in an immediate and effective way.” Countryman said they are primarily collecting food, water, clothes, gloves, blankets, towels, soap, shampoo, wet wipes and hand sanitizer.
