WHS Blue Belle captain earns spot on Tyler Jr. College Apache Belles squad

Shelby Carter, senior captain of the WHS Blue Belles, was selected on Sunday as one of the new Tyler Jr. College Apache Belles.

Fifty-two hopefuls started out the audition on Saturday morning, and only 19 were selected to continue to the finals on Sunday.

At the formal announcement on Sunday afternooon, Carter was one of nine dancers to make the squad for 2011-12. She will be a member of the 65th line of Apache Belles who are internationally famous for their highkicks and jazz dance style.
