Homer Rea Hodges
Homer was born Nov. 19, 1945, to Homer and Callie Swiger Hodges Sr. in Los Angeles, Calif. He was a longtime resident of Azle. Homer was an avid dirt track race fan, genealogist and traveler. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Homer was retired from BNSF Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Grady R. Gislar; grandmother, Phoeba Mae Williams; great-aunt, Clara D. Hill; and aunt, Clara Alice McKnight.
Survivors: Son, Kenny Hodges and wife, Dana, of Springtown; granddaughter, Chelsie Hodges; brother, Phil Spalding and wife, Edie; sisters, Tula Bell and Barbara J. Dopson; nephews, James S. Dopson and Joe Neal Worley; and many loving family members and friends.
