Aledo sophomore pitcher Kacie Brann allowed just two hits and struck out eight to lead the Ladycats to a 4-1 win over Azle Wednesday night in a District 6-4A game at Azle.
The win evens the Ladycats district mark at 2-2. The loss was Azle's first in district play.
The Ladycats will continue district action at 7 p.m. at home Tuesday, March 23, against Saginaw.
The Ladycats scored all the runs Brann (1-0 in 6-4A) would need in a four-run third inning.
Senior second baseman Kendall Kizer smashed a two-run home run, with junior right fielder Carolyn Clayton (double) and junior third baseman Morgan Farley (single) each driving in a run in the frame.
