Parker County Sheriff
Parker County Sheriff’s investigators served a warrant on Jeffrey Allan Maxwell, 58, of Corsicana, who is currently incarcerated for two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of aggravated kidnapping in the Parker County Jail.
The warrant served today is for an arson intend damage to a place of habitation charge, which investigators believe Maxwell set fire to the home of a female victim in Whitt, Parker County, after holding her captive within his home in Navarro County for 13 days.
Sheriff’s investigators said Maxwell kidnapped the woman two days prior to the fire and believe he purposely set the fire to destroy evidence of the kidnapping.
Investigators added the fire also destroyed the victim’s vehicle, pet cat and approximately 30 acres.
As of Monday afternoon, Maxwell’s bond had not been set for the arson charge. His current bond for the original charges remains at $400,000.
