Vasich-Lesikar weddingVasich-Lesikar weddingLeslie Anne Lesikar of Fort Worth and James Milan Vasich II of Aledo were united in marriage on July 14, 2007, at seven o’clock in the evening at All Saints’ Episcopal Church. The Reverend Christopher N. Jambor, Rector, officiated the ceremony with music provided by Marialice Parish, organist.
A reception followed at Colonial Country Club where guest dined and danced to music by Charlie Campbell. On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner at Los Vaqueros.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynwood William Lesikar or Fort Worth. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gover Lewis Jr. of Longview and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lesikar of Fort Worth.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Sandra Danton Vasich and the late Mr. James Milan Vasich of Aledo. He is the grandson of Mrs. Beverly Steckler Danton and the late Dr. Bernard Francis Danton, Jr. of New Orleans, La., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mike Milan Vasich of Fort Worth.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride chose a formal gown of diamond white satin ornamented with romantic lace appliqués designed by Maggie Sottero. The strapless slim A-line gown with a corset back and dropped waistline was accented with a ruched tulle band. The appliqués were repeated on the waist and embellished the tulle skirt and chapel length train. To complete her ensemble, the bride wore a crystal headpiece with a diamond white illusion veil edged with crystals and pearls.
Maid of honor was Melissa Roan Gurney of Dacula, Ga., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jacqueline Nicole Barta and Erynn Rosellen Henry, both of Fort Worth, and Kimberly Anne Brien of Waco. The flower girl was Taylor Ann Plata of Houston, cousin of the groom, and ring bearer was Andrew Micheal Wright of Aledo. The house party included Audra Faye Gushwa of Arlington, Katie Mae Kinton of Georgetown and Nicole Anna Vasich of Aledo, sister of the groom.
Best man was Serjio Junior Ponce of Tioga. Groomsmen were Percy Keith English of El Campo, Jason Lewis Lesikar of Fort Worth, brother of the bride, and Micheal Dean Wright of Aledo. Ushers were Gregory John Baack and Luke Ernest Salinas of Aledo, Gregory Jordan Baack of Decatur, Patrick Henry Danton of Marrero, La., cousin of the groom, Eric James Plata of Houston, cousin of the groom, and Shane Edward Sosa of Fort Worth.
The bride is a graduate of Western Hills High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry form Texas Christian University and is presently pursuing her Doctorate in Chemistry at TCU. The bridegroom is a graduate of Aledo High School. He received a Bachelor and Master of Science in animal science from Tarleton State University. He is currently employed with the Aledo Veterinary Clinic.
After a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Fort Worth.
