Crime of the Week
Parker County Sheriff’s investigators and Parker County Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with an aggravated robbery call at a convenience store in Azle.
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said dispatchers received an emergency call Tuesday from the 3600 block of Knob Hill Road around 6:15 p.m., March 8, 2011.
The store owner reported a masked suspect entered the store displaying a handgun and demanded cash from him.
The suspect was described as approximately 5-feet-eight-inches to six-feet tall, wearing a dark green hoodie sweatshirt and a skull or ghost-like mask. Witnesses reported the suspect ran from the store and fled the scene in a light-colored SUV, headed south from the store after a customer pulled into the parking lot.
The victim reported the suspect did not get away with any items or cash. At this time, Sheriff’s investigators are following up on leads pertaining to the case.
