Parker County Sheriff’s investigators are seeking a missing woman.
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the woman, identified as Lois Marie Pearson, 62, was reported missing by a family member about 10 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, from her residence in Perrin-Whitt, located in the 400 block of Old Oran Road.
Parker County Fire Marshal’s Office reported investigating a fire which destroyed Pearson’s residence and vehicle earlier Thursday. Officials performed a helicopter air search with no results in locating Pearson. Sheriff Fowler said a second air search will be conducted this evening, canvassing the area with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety, using (FLIR) Forward-Looking Infrared.
“We are making every effort and doing everything possible to try and locate her,” Fowler said, adding that bone fragments were found at the scene of the fire, which are not believed to be human.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office collected the fragments as evidence.
Fowler said there have been no similar previous calls to the Sheriff’s Office regarding Pearson.
Anyone with information about Pearson’s location or who has seen her is encouraged to call the Parker County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (817) 594-8845.
