Weatherford-Parker County Special Crimes Unit arrested a Weatherford man in connection with an undercover narcotics investigation.
Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Camp said the suspect attempted to sell undercover SCU investigators methamphetamine.
SCU members obtained a search warrant which was conducted Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at the suspect’s residence in the 1900 block of East Highway 199 in Springtown.
SCU investigators seized more than 140 grams of methamphetamine and about seven grams of Xanax from within the residence. An arrests warrant was issued for the suspect, identified as Daniel Hubbard Dake, 51.
SCU investigators are seeking an additional warrant for Earl Watson Herrell, 45, of Dublin, also connected. SCU members said Herrell was also named as a suspect in the investigation, in possessing and the sale of narcotics to undercover investigators.
Dake who was already jailed for a separate narcotics charges, was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. His total bond was set at $66,500. As of Wednesday afternoon, he remained incarcerated at the Parker County Jail.
Camp said the case will be forwarded to the Parker County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of prosecution.
