Cox-Springer Financial Advisors Donate to WISD Booster Clubs

March 2, 2011 by Anonymous

Four years ago, Drew Springer and Randy Cox of Cox-Springer Financial Advisors created an innovative way to support their community. Together they decided to make donations to the Weatherford ISD Booster Clubs and organizations, but allow the student athletes to help determine the donation amount. Continuing their tradition this season, Cox-Springer donated $30 for every three-point shot scored in the Boy’s Varsity Home Basketball games. For the past four years, the program has included a $100 donation for every Varsity Football touchdown.

The latest donation came last week as Randy Cox and Drew Springer, with Cox-Springer Financial Advisors, presented a check to WISD Executive Director of Athletics Philip O’Neal and Head Boy’s Basketball Coach Terry Ferguson benefiting the WISD Athletic Booster Clubs. The presented check represents the total for the last four years of $22,000 donated to WISD booster clubs such as Blue Belles, Band, Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Cheerleaders, Basketball, and others.

The Kangaroos Varsity Boys Basketball team hit 100 Threes in 12 home games this season! These 100 Threes brought the total of this season’s donation to $3,000! This season’s recipients of the $3,000 donation included the Boys and Girls Basketball booster clubs and the Cheer Squad.
