Congratulations to the Weatherford High School senior class for winning the $5,000 "My School is Cool" Hulen Mall competition in the fall.

WHS Senior representatives accepted the $5,000.00 check from Hulen Mall Manager Kevin Davies at a celebration luncheon Feb. 17 at Hulen Mall in Fort Worth.

Weatherford High School outscored the Fort Worth high schools by over 60,000 points.

Final Results

Weatherford High School 88,977 points

North Crowley High School 22,768 points

Crowley High School 7,194 points

Burleson High School 5,202 points

Paschal High School 4,739 points

The senior class would like to extend a huge thank you to the Weatherford community for their support and assistance in winning the BIG MONEY! The 2011 seniors have been working hard all year to raise money for their Senior Prom and all $5,000.00 will go toward the prom and the senior class gift. The final fundraiser for the senior class will be the enormous garage sale scheduled for March 26 at the Ninth Grade Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those wishing to donate items for the garage sale will have two drop-off opportunities remaining – Feb. 28 and March 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Senior Prom tickets are currently on sale at WHS in room F205, and the Senior Prom will be April 30 from 8 p.m. to midnight in the high school gymnasium.

The WHS Class of 2012 will compete in the second semester of the My School is Cool competition. The senior class hopes that everyone will support the junior class and continue to dominate this high-paying competition. Let’s bring another $5,000 back to Weatherford by forwarding all Hulen Mall receipts to Nikki Comstock or Rachel Blythe Griffin.

Thank you again to the community and GO ROOS!My School is Cool: Pictured (from left) is Hulen Mall Manager Kevin Davis; Stephanie Blythe, WHS Prom Committee; Max Richards, WHS Senior Class President; and WHS Senior Class Sponsor Chritsine Goss (courtesy photo). My School is Cool: Pictured (from left) is Hulen Mall Manager Kevin Davis; Stephanie Blythe, WHS Prom Committee; Max Richards, WHS Senior Class President; and WHS Senior Class Sponsor Chritsine Goss (courtesy photo).
