Parker County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man and woman Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, following a burglary call.
Deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress call in the 3800 block of Cleburne Highway around 10:30 a.m., where the male and female suspects fled in a grey/silver vehicle.
A victim stated the suspects had kicked in the rear door and observed the pair climb out of a locked barn/residence, then enter the vehicle and flee the scene before obtaining any stolen items. Deputies discovered signs of forced entry to the side door of the barn and the rear door of the residence. The caller gave dispatchers the license plate of the suspect vehicle, which deputies later found abandoned near the 413 mile marker of Interstate 20.
Deputies found the suspects on foot near a convenience store with a key to the vehicle, which was previously confirmed stolen out of Fort Worth.
The female suspect, later identified as Katie Rene Brucker, 24, of Fort Worth, was found in possession of identifying information belonging to a separate victim. Inside the stolen vehicle, deputies discovered a cell phone belonging the male suspect, later identified as Jason Daniel Knickrehm, 33, of Fort Worth.
Knickrehm was charged with theft of property and burglary of a habitation. His bond was set at $35,000. Brucker was charged with theft of property, fraud use possession of identifying information and burglary of a habitation. Her bond was set at $40,000.
