Suspect taken into Custody after Stand-off

On Monday, 02/14/2011, just after 4pm, Weatherford Police Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress at the Holly Oaks Apts located on FM 730 (Azle Hwy). Witnesses, familiar with the suspect causing problems at that location in the past, called the police and advised that he had made forced entry into an apartment of an ex-acquaintance.

Prior to officers’ arrival, the suspect left in a gold Buick passenger car towards Ft Worth Hwy. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle on Ft Worth Hwy and a brief pursuit ensued. The suspect eventually led police back to the Holly Oak Apts where he exited his vehicle, threw a screwdriver at an officer (that actually penetrated the driver’s side door of the patrol vehicle) and then ran inside the apartment where the originating offense took place.

The suspect refused to exit apartment but through the course of negotiations, he eventually stepped outside of the apartment and was taken into custody. During the entire incident, the suspect was the only person inside the apartment.

Aaron Alligier (w/m 38 yoa of Saginaw) was arrested for Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant, Burglary of a Habitation, and Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle. He was transported to Parker County Jail where he was booked in on those charges as well as an outstanding warrant for Interference w/an Emergency Call. His bond has not been set at this time. You can find a mugshot of the suspect at www.parkercountytx.com.
