Both Aledo Basketball Teams Sweep Two Road Games

Home Game Vs. Springtown Friday, Jan. 28

Ladycats (25-2, 10-0) begin at 6 p.m.
Bearcats, winners of three in a row, play at 7:30 p.m.

Aledo Bearcat Football Team receives National Honor

This Friday night, the Aledo varsity basketball teams have a lot to play for against two good varsity programs from Springtown. The Ladycats can wrap up the district crown with a victory against the second place Lady Porcupines. A victory by the Ladycats will clinch the district with three games remaining. The Ladycats beat Timber Creek on the road last night 66-63. Logan Mittie Scored 31 and Mallory Powell added 16.

The Bearcats have fought back to win three in a row including last night’s 60-37 victory over Keller Timber Creek. A victory over Springtown will put Aledo all alone in the position to secure a playoff birth. Robbie Sprier led the Bearcats with 21 and Taylor Johnson added 12 in the victory over Timber Creek.

The community is encouraged to support both playoff contenders. Friday's games are in the Aledo High School gym.
