Texas AgriLife Extension Service of Parker County will conduct a parenting workshop series from 6:30 - 8 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Jan. 18. Additional sessions will be Jan. 25, Feb. 1 and Feb. 22 at the Parker County Agricultural Service Center, 604 North Main Street in Weatherford. The curriculum will be “How to Become a Love and Logic Parent. Topics will cover Raising Responsible Kids, the Love and Logic Formula, C Stands for Control, Ownership of the Problem, Thinking and Decision Making and Consequences. Each class will also include a lesson on feeding children and will include: Keeping Kids Health, Shopping Strategies for Healthy Eating and Keeping your Kids Safe and Food Safety. There will be food demonstrations, samples and recipes that will be provided by the Better Living for Texans Program. The classes are free of charge. A workbook can be purchased for the class at a cost of $10. Persons interested in attending the workshop should pre-register no later than Jan. 14 by calling 817-598-6168.
